Monique Needham is a British/Jamaican writer and director

Monique is passionate about broadening the type of stories told about her community. She was selected by Warner Bros Discovery to be a part of the Black Britain Unspoken series and made a short documentary film about the British Caribbean house party experience called Food, Music & Vibes It's available to watch on Discovery+. She has made other short films including Sunday Dinner (2023), available to watch on Amazon Prime and won the M&M's FUNd 2023 Award, Mum Me (2020) and Cashpoint (2019) which have all been screened and commended at film festivals globally. Her films cover family and culture with a comedic twist, and showcase the lives and bonds of people of colour
